The Host Committee for the 8th International Congress on IonicLiquids (COIL-8) welcomes you to Beijing, China on May 14-17, 2019. COIL symposium, the most influential internationalconference in the field of ionic liquids, has been successfully held for sixtimes since 2005. The scientific theme of COIL encompasses a series of topics,including cutting-edge progress in fundamental research as well as breakthroughsin practical industrial applications of this kind of fascinating materials.

COIL-8 marks the first opportunityfor China to host this conference. Interests in ionic liquids have been rapidlygrowing in China and all over the world because the distinctive properties ofionic liquids enable versatility and efficiency across many industrialapplications, which are of great importance in the pursuit of a sustainablefuture.
